BS Economics, Immaculata University

Like so many others, my path to HTG has taken a few turns. In college, I majored in Economics with a minor in Math and Education. My student teaching experience convinced me that I should take a different path.
I started out life in the Investment Department of JP Morgan and, then, in CT, at Union Trust Company. My husband, Jerry, was transferred to Hong Kong just about the same time our first child was due. Off we went ready for new experiences — and we were certainly not disappointed. Our 3 year commitment turned into 12!
Our second child was born and we met people from all over the world, many of whom are still friends. While in Hong Kong, we took up tennis and learned to sail and our children, wanting to sound like their friends, had British accents. At times, I worked part time in sales for Japan Air Lines or in marketing for a professional tennis tournament. Life was full and fun and always exciting.
In 1984, we moved back to Connecticut when an opportunity presented itself for Jerry. Our children lost their British accents in about 6 weeks and we began life in New Canaan. It was here that we met Tom and Jeanne Gnuse. We became early HTG clients and continued our friendship.
I had tried my hand at real estate and found that it just was not a fit for me, much like my earlier attempt as a high school teacher.

Tom and Jeanne asked me to work with them while their associate was on maternity leave and that was 19 years ago. As one of HTG’s veteran advisors, I enjoy helping clients anticipate and navigate life’s financial transitions.
Both Jerry and I volunteer in activities for local non-profits. One of our favorite activities is working on a retreat with teenagers at our Church. Tennis is currently my sport of choice. Those children I spoke of earlier now have children of their own, and they are my delight.
