Remembering and Giving This Time of Year

While these remain challenging times, we are fortunate that we have been able to return to our office and serve our clients both safely and effectively. Many in our nation and abroad, however, are not so fortunate and continue to be adversely affected by the pandemic in addition to political and environmental forces.

That is why in lieu of traditional gifts this holiday, we are again choosing to make donations in your honor to two national organizations that are making a positive impact.

The first charity is Save the Children. Founded over 100 years ago, it was the first global movement for children and now reaches almost 200 million children across the globe. Their pioneering programs address children’s unique needs giving them a healthy start in life through health, education, and protection programs and emergency response initiatives. Today, as children around the world are growing up in a deadly pandemic, Save the Children is supporting frontline health workers and providing education and hygiene supplies to help families and communities protect themselves against COVID-19 and stay healthy. Save the Children also expanded relief programs for Afghan refugee children as COVID-19, conflict, and drought combined to create a food crisis of a scale not previously seen in that country.

Poverty limits potential, and our second charity, TechnoServe, helps people lift themselves out of poverty by harnessing the power of the private sector. A leading nonprofit organization operating in almost 30 countries, they work with hardworking women and men in the developing world to build competitive farms, businesses, and industries. By linking people to information, capital, and markets, they have helped millions to create lasting prosperity for their families and communities.

We are pleased to contribute to these meaningful causes on behalf of our clients this holiday season. If you are interested in learning more about tax-efficient ways to make your own charitable contributions, please contact your HTG advisor.

Wishing you and your loved ones
peace, health and joy during this holiday season
and throughout the New Year.
