Chartered Financial Analyst®
My journey to HTG is a story of crossing personal paths. Jeanne Gnuse and I met at a networking coffee in New Canaan, Connecticut. Both of us enjoy meeting and helping people. That friendship and my investment background made me a good fit for HTG.
My interest in financial services was first piqued by participating in a college career program. After graduation, I joined a bank training program and also pursued an MBA degree at the University of Chicago. Approximately a decade in lending, analysis and relationship management followed for a variety of businesses ranging from privately held companies to large corporate clients.
After a break to start our family, I returned to my career helping private clients. Enjoyment of investment discussions led me to complete the Chartered Financial Analyst® professional designation and transition to portfolio management.
Along the way, an opportunity arose at U.S. Trust Company in Stamford, Connecticut. Following a restructuring, I further developed my marketing skills then found my current home in the independent Registered Investment Advisory service model.
At HTG, I take time to listen to my clients and understand their goals. I help them analyze the financial considerations of life’s transitions then prioritize and implement next steps.
I particularly enjoy assisting clients with their retirement aspirations and creating an impactful charitable giving strategy. I also conduct research and help craft the firm’s overall investment strategy so that our clients benefit from current, yet time-tested, investment techniques in portfolio construction and design.
In my personal time, I value being with family and serving the community through membership in the Rotary Club of New Canaan. Past activities include being a president and board member for CFA Society Stamford, Rotary Assistant Governor for Area 1 including the Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan and Stamford Clubs, membership in the Estate Planning Council of Lower Fairfield County and various Wellesley Alumnae activities. I also enjoy an occasional game of tennis or golf, skiing, reading, and walking.
